Renew Your Commitment To Allah In Ramadan, Says MPAC
The Muslim Public Affairs Centre (MPAC), has urged Muslims to renew their commitment to Allah and reflect deeply on their responsibilities as bearers of faith and justice.
MPAC, in a Ramadan message to Nigerians, said: “The crescent moon has appeared, ushering in Ramadan – the month of divine mercy, spiritual renewal, and revelation.
“This is the month in which the Qur’an was sent down, a timeless guidance for those who seek the truth, a criterion distinguishing right from wrong, and a source of light for all of humanity.
“The month of Ramadan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur’an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion…” (Qur’an 2:185)
“Ramadan is an invitation – a call to realign our hearts with Allah, to restrain our desires, and to elevate our souls. It is a time to fast with sincerity, give with generosity, and worship with devotion. It is a reminder that our journey is not just about abstaining from food and drink but about mastering the self, deepening our faith, and embodying the message of the Qur’an in our daily lives.
“As we stand at the gates of this blessed month, let us seize every moment to renew our commitment to Allah, strengthen our bonds as a community, and reflect deeply on the responsibilities we carry as bearers of faith and justice.
“May this Ramadan purify our souls, soften our hearts, and elevate our standing before Allah. May He grant us the strength to fast with sincerity, the wisdom to understand His message, and the perseverance to act upon it,” it stated
