Nollywood Actor Mr Ibu Is Dead
Barely 24 hours after popular comic actor, Warri Oyebamiji Tomori aka ‘sisiQadri’ died, another veteran actor, John Okafor, known as Mr Ibu, has died.
The 62 year old actor died, on Saturday, after protracted illness.
According to multiple reports from sources close to him, the veteran comedian passed away at Evercare hospital.
A source said “he died of cardiac arrest”.
Last year, the actor underwent surgery to remove one of his legs after soliciting help & prayers from fans
Many fans have shared condolences on X, reminiscing movies the late actor has featured.
However, the Presidential Candidate, Labour Party, in the 2023 general election, Peter Obi, described the demise of Mr Ibu aw a loss to the obedient movement.
“Dear John Okafor (Mr. Ibu), rest well thank you for the joy you gave to Nigerians and Africans at large your death is a huge lost to all of us especially the Obidients family and well-meaning Nigerians. Till we meet again, good night sir. Rest In Power,” Peter Obi stated in his condolence message on his verified X page.
