NNPC Gives Reasons Behind Long Queues At Filling Stations
. Marketers Ration Fuel Sales
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Ltd has attributed the sudden reappearance of long queues of vehicles at filling stations in Lagos and Abuja to hitch in the discharge operations of some vessels.
In a statement on Saturday, the company said: “NNPC wishes to state that the tightness in fuel supply and distribution witnessed in some parts of Lagos and the FCT is as a result of a hitch in the discharge operations of a couple of vessels
“The company further states that it is working round the clock with all stakeholders to resolve the situation and restore normalcy in the operations”.
Slye News survey revealed that the shortage in fuel supply has led to long Queues at filling stations in Abuja, Lagos and Ogun States. While some stations were shut for lack of products, few others were rationing the product with only one or two pumps.
