Nigerian Oil, Gas Service Providers Begin Training On ‘Project 100’ Scheme

Nigerian oil and gas service providers have begun a capacity development programme under the support of the Nigerian Content Development Monitoring Board, NCDMB in partnership with GEORGID Consulting.

The capacity building programme tagged Project 100 Initiative for local companies is an initiative of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources in collaboration with the Nigerian Content Development Monitoring Board.

Under this programme, 100 indigenous oil and gas service providers are participating in the project meant to give necessary funding access to grow businesses and compete with multinational companies for effective service delivery in the oil and gas industry.

GEORGID Consulting Limited on behalf of NCDMB is the provider of the training programme on Innovation and Ideation with the theme, Innovating for Growth: Unlocking Ideas to Transform the Oil & Gas Service Ecosystem holding in Lagos.

The training focused on seven thematic areas namely: Understanding the principles of innovation and ideation in the context of the oil and gas sector; Develop tools and techniques for generating and refining ideas that solve real business challenges; Learn to build innovation frameworks and processes that fit into their business models.

Other areas are: Identify market opportunities and trends within the oil and gas ecosystem; Explore collaboration strategies with key stakeholders, including NCDMB, NNPC, and NUIS; Access financial opportunities through the Nigerian Content Intervention (NCI) Fund to implement innovative solutions; Measure and monitor innovation impact to ensure sustainable growth and competitive advantage.

The Managing Director of GEORGID Consulting, Idotenyin Isaac, said the training is critical for the growth, expansion, and sustainability of the indigenous companies enabling them to leverage innovation to operate their businesses with global standards and compete favourably in the Oil and Gas industry.

Participants at the training programme expressed satisfaction with the training modules and the value addition to the oil and gas ecosystem.
