Ogun State is set to welcome a major industrial investment as Mamuda Group Nigeria Limited announces plans to establish a $50 million beverage production facility through its subsidiary, Mamuda Beverages.
The development was revealed during a courtesy visit by the Group’s Chairman, Mr. Hassan Hammoud, to Governor Dapo Abiodun at the Governor’s Office in Abeokuta on Tuesday.
Hammoud stated that the foundation stone for the new facility will be laid next month and that the investment will unfold in phases, eventually expanding into other sectors such as food processing, personal care, and agro-processing.
He added that the group, which currently employs 13,000 people in Kano, aims to replicate similar workforce numbers in Ogun over the next five to six years, starting with 1,500 employees and expanding to 3,000 after the plant’s first phase.
The Chairman praised Ogun’s strategic location and business-friendly environment, highlighting proximity to major markets like Lagos and the South-West corridor as a key factor in the company’s decision.
He commended Abiodun for creating an enabling environment that encourages industrial investment and expansion.
In response, the governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving the ease of doing business in the state.
He noted the recent completion of Nigeria’s best-equipped airport and the state’s licensed dry port project as part of broader infrastructure upgrades aimed at supporting industrial growth.
He emphasized that Ogun remains a prime destination for investors seeking efficiency, connectivity, and long-term value.
