THE Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has urged Nigerians to be wary of scammers who are taking advantage of the ongoing e-auction to deceive people on social media.
Customs, in a statement signed by Abdullahi Maiwada of the NCS Public Relations unit and made available to SlyNews said the document in circulation on social media does not emanate from Customs.
He said: “The attention of the Customs Public Relations Officer has been drawn to a document circulating on social media purportedly issuing allocation of goods for e-auction.
The NPRO (National Public Relations Officer) wishes to categorically state that the said document in circulation neither emanated from him nor from the Service.
“You are therefore by this notice advised to disregard the purported document as the NCS e-auction can be genuinely accessed only via app.trade.gov.ng/eauction
He released the authentic social media handles and NCS official website for access to genuine information about the activities of the Service.
