APC Convention: Adamu Announces Lawan As Consensus Presidential Candidate
National Chairman, of All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abdullahi Adamu has announced Senate President Ahmed Lawan as consensus presidential candidate of the party in the forthcoming presidential election.
Adamu was said to have made the announcement at the meeting of party’s National Working Committee (NWC) today (Monday) in Abuja.
This decision was said to have led to division among the National Working Committee of the party, as others insist on fair primary election.
Other aspirants including Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; Asiwaju Bola Tinubu; Dr. Kayode Fayemi and David Umahi, among others will however be allowed to contest the primary at the convention holding tomorrow at the Eagle Square, Abuja.
