. Sylva canvases for Africa Energy Bank

The Republic of Equatorial Guinea has expressed its willingness to callaborate with Nigeria in it’s quest to optimise it’s oil and gas resources.
This was revealed when the Minister of Mines and Hydrocarbons of Republic of Equatorial Guinea, Gabriel Obiang Lima and his team, paid a courtesy visit to Nigeria’s Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva in his office at the NNPC Towers, Abuja.
The meeting, a follow up to bilateral issues on energy transition and the need for African countries to work together both on bilateral and multilateral levels also advocated for the maximization of natural oil and gas resources in the continent.
Sylva used the occasion to re-echo the need to have African Energy Bank through African Petroleum Producers’ Organization (APPO).
Lima felicitated with Nigeria on the achievement over the Petroleum Industry Act.
He stated that his country had been following development in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry and emphasized the need for cooperation to boost economic development in Africa
The meeting tasked the technical team of both countries to produce a concrete report that will translate to business opportunities between the two countries.
