Residents of Lagos Island woke up to confusion this Saturday morning, as a three-storey building collapsed with many still trapped under the rubbles.
The Acting Coordinator, National Emergency Management Authority (NEMA) Lagos Territorial Office, Ibrahim Farinloye, confirmed to SlyNews that six people were already rescued alive, with various degree of injuries.
The affected house, located at 20 Freeman street, Lagos Island went down at about 3 : 00 a.m on Saturday.
Farinloye said about 9 to 10 people are suggested to be living in the building.
He assured that efforts are ongoing to rescue the remaining people.
