NASFAT Biennial Conference Begins In U.K

The 7th Biennial Conference of Nasrul lahil l Fatih Society, (NASFAT) has kicked off in London.
The Conference tagged “Milton Keynes 2024” is being hosted by her UK & Ireland zone, starting from Thursday, 2nd May to Sunday, 5th May 2024.
National President, NASFAT, Alhaji Ayodeji AbdulWahid Abdul Rauf, stated that, as a responsive and responsible global Islamic organisation, the choice of UK and Ireland zone for the 7th Biennial Conference was strategic and it was specifically aimed at positioning the society as a strong voice in addressing the global economic crises, conflicts and environmental problems ravaging the whole world.
According to Abdulrauf, the conference was equally aimed at forging a cohesive society, whereby members in Nigeria and those in the diaspora are able to synergize towards the attainment of the aims and objectives of the society.
Speaking further, he said the conference was originally scheduled for 2021 but was shifted as a result of the COVID 19 pandemic which engulfed the universe.
With the theme: “Navigating The Current World: Strategies And Solutions For Relevance And Growth”, Abdulrauf stated that the position of the society was that the world would be peaceful and harmonious when justice is allowed to reign by the superpowers of the world.
The opening ceremony of the 4-day conference is scheduled to commence on Friday, 3rd May, at Kent Hill Park Training And Conference Centre, Milton Keynes, MK7 6BZ, United Kingdom.
The opening address will be delivered by the NASFAT President, Alhaji Abdulrauf Ayodeji AbdukWahid.
Expected at the opening ceremony are delegates from various zones and branches across all the formations of the Society.
Highlights of the conference include lectures to be delivered by renowned scholars and notable resource persons drawn from Nigeria and abroad.
Other major activities include the Annual General Meeting of the Society to be presided by the BOT Chairman Alh Dr. Abdullateef Adewale Olasupo, President’s score card, Dinner with the President and syndicate sessions.
The NASFAT 7th Biennial Conference in the UK is the second one held outside Nigeria and the first outside Africa. The fourth Biennial Conference tagged Ghana 2017, was held in Accra, Ghana in 2017.
