Ogun Adopts CBT For Recruitment
By Sulaimon Salau
Ogun State Civil Service Commission has adopted Computer Base Tests (CBT) for its recruitment owing to its merit-based process which gives no room for mediocrity to thrive.
Chairman of the Commission, Engr. Tokunbo Odebunmi, stated this while fielding questions from newsmen during recruitment exercise for health personnel, Data Processing Officers and Auditors, at the 500-seater ICT Centre, FUNAAB Alabata, Abeokuta, saying the exercise was to complement and strengthen the state’s workforce, in line with its statutory responsibilities of the Commission
“This examination is peculiar for some professionals like, Auditors, Pharmacists, Nurses, Science Laboratory Technologists and others, as well as General Duties for those working under Administration.
“In Ogun State, we do not make sensational recruitment but employ only when there is the demand, so that people will not just be employed for no justification but on purpose”, he said.
Engr. Odebunmi revealed that the recruitment would be in three phases namely, CBT, extended interview and the final stage, which is the oral interview.
In their separate responses, two of the participants, Mr. Razaq Adelanwa and Miss Maria Oyolola, commended government for the exercise, saying the arrangements and atmosphere were conducive.
