Ramadan Begins, Sultan Confirms

The President-General, Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), and Sultan of Sokoto, Alh. Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, has confirmed the sighting of a new moon for Ramadan 1445 AH (2024).

 

The sultanate in an update on it’s X handle @moonsightingng said “The  Sultanate has confirmed a single sighting claim…”

 

Also, in a broadcast monitored on the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) around 8.39pm , the Sultan consequently said fasting would commence on Monday.
