In Ikorodu, some hoodlums reportedly clashed with protesters leading to death of about five people. Sources said the protest turned bloody when some hoodlums hijacked the scene and killed one of the residents. The situation has however been calmed with the presence of police officers at the scene.
In Benin, Edo State, the protesters stormed a prison facility on Benin-Sapele road and set inmates free.
Edo State Government has however imposed a 24-hour curfew in the state.
The Secretary to the State government, Osarodion Ogie, in a statement said the curfew would be effective from 4:00 pm, October 19, 2020 till further notice. He added that hoodlums have hijacked the #EndSARS protest and the government would not allow such attacks.
In Ota, Ogun State, the protest was about #Ota bad roads. The aggrieved youths blocked the popular Oju-Ore bus stop and shut the entire Ota from traffic flow.
The protesters said the action would continue until the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun attends to their grievances.
The protests took another turn in Ikeja when a Nigerian music star Alhaji Wasiu Alabu Pasuma simply called Pasuma was booed away from the scene.
In a video that has gone viral on social media, angry youths can be seen dragging the Fuji musician out of protest ground in Alausa, Ikeja.
Pasuma attempts to calm down the angry crowd but they were not having it as they booed him to leave and some then dragged him out of the place by his trouser.
The entertainer is accused of having connections with the president of the Nigerian Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTWA), Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo.
Scores of protesters at Alausa, Ikeja, had on Friday attacked a van believed to have been sent by MC Oluomo, to deliver water and drinks to protesters.
MC Oluomo, was accused by protesters of sponsoring the attack by armed thugs on Thursday.
MC Oluomo and the Lagos State government and the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, were accused of sending the armed thugs to attack protesters on Thursday.
They have all denied the allegations. The transport union chief in a video he shared on social media said he supports the protest for police reform and could not have sent the thugs.
